DUBLIN: 11kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of €750,000 has been seized by Revenue’s customs officers at Dublin Airport.
The drugs were discovered when a 25-year-old Irish man, who had arrived on a flight from Paris, was stopped and searched yesterday.
The cocaine was discovered hidden behind back panels in four otherwise empty rucksacks within a larger suitcase.
The man was arrested and appeared in court this morning when he was remanded in custody to appear again in one week.
