DUBLIN: Three people have been charged following the seizure of drugs worth an estimated €1.6m in Dublin.
Gardaí say a significant quantity of heroin and cocaine was seized when a vehicle was intercepted yesterday on Conyngham Road, Islandbridge.
A 45-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
Further quantities of heroin, cocaine and cannabis herb were seized during a follow-up house search in Ballyfermot.
A man, 24, and a 21-year-old woman were arrested there.
The three are being held at Lucan and Finglas garda stations and will appear in court tomorrow.
Gardaí say their operation was targeting drug traffickers in the Ballyfermot area.
