Two people have been arrested in connection with the seizures.
Heroin with a street value of approximately €300,000 was recovered when gardaí stopped and searched a car in Crumlin in Dublin on Friday afternoon.
A 35-year-old male was arrested at the scene and is currently being held at Crumlin Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Gardaí found a further €100,000 worth of heroin during a follow-up search at a house in the Kilcullan area of Co Westmeath.
A 26-year-old female was arrested following the Westmeath search and is being detained at Mullingar Garda station.
The seizures were the result of an investigation targeting drug trafficking in the midlands, which involves members of the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and gardaí from the Westmeath division.
