Irfan Baig assumes charge as Balochistan NAB DG

QUETTA: Mirza Muhammad Irfan Baig assumed office as Director General of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan on Monday.

The new DG renewed commitment for wiping out corruption while stating that the zero tolerance policy against corruption would continue in the province.

The vision of Chairman NAB Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal ‘accountability for all’ principle would be upheld, he stated. Invoking public cooperation to overcome menace of corruption, he said that the participation of civil society, media and literate strata of society was required in collective efforts to eradicate corruption. A corruption-free society can only be achieved by their cooperation, he added.

Mirza Irfan Baig joined National Accountability Bureau in year 2003 and remained posted as Director KPK, Rawalpindi and Director Headquarters.

He also served as Director NAB Balochistan during the year 2010-11.
