IRELAND: Irish police have seized contraband 51,000 cigarettes and 6,200 packs of rolling tobacco following a search of a house on the Nursery Road here the other day.
“Details are only being made public now as follow up investigations took place in the days following the search and seizure. No one was arrested during the search and the investigation continues,” Chief Inspector Stephen McCauley said here the other day.
He added: “Criminality can come in many different forms and has a negative impact on communities, including local businesses. I am confident that our proactive efforts here show that local police are committed to tackling crime and keeping people safe.”
