Irrigation Dept recovers Rs86m water tax

MULTAN: The Irrigation Department has recovered about Rs 86 million abiana (water tax) from farmers during the Rabi 2015-16 and Khareef-2016 seasons in the Multan zone.

According to sources, Rs 16 million abiana was recovered in Multan district, one million rupees in Lodhran, over Rs 46 million in Vehari and Rs 23 million in Pakpattan district during the first four months of Rabi season, from July 1, 2016 to Fab 2017.
