IRSA releases 129,306 cusecs water

ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Wednesday released 129,306 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 77,510 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1491.77 feet, which was 111.77 feet higher than its dead level 1380 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded at 40,100 cusecs while outflow was recorded as 55,000 cusecs.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1217.60 feet, which was 177.8 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 13,104 and 50,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 68,559, 67,071 and 44,262 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from the Kabul River, a total of 11,300 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 13,006 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
