IRSA releases 180,900 cusecs water from various rim stations

ISLAMABAD: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Friday released 180,900 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 149,100 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1391.13 feet, which was 11.13 feet higher than its dead level of 1,380 feet.

Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 46,900 cusecs while outflow recorded as 60,000 cusecs.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1129.30 feet, which was 89.30 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 51,300 and 70,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 94,600, 69,300 and 13,600 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from the Kabul River, a total of 27,900 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 4,500 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
