IRSA releases 297,800 cusecs water from various rim stations

ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Friday released 297,800 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 342,200 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1463.30 feet, which was 83.30 feet higher than its dead level 1380 feet.

Water inflow and the outflow in the dam were recorded as 165,000 cusecs each.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1176.45 feet, which was 136.45 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 59,400 cusecs and 15,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 196,100, 166,800 and 45,400 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 64,200 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 22,800 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
