IRSA releases 58,400 cusecs water

ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Tuesday released 58,400 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 58,400 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1,386 feet, which was 6 feet higher than its dead level of 1,380 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 21,100 cusecs and outflow as 20,300 cusecs.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1,050 feet, which was 10 feet higher than its dead level of 1,040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 16,300 cusecs and 17,100 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 23,800, 19,500 and 4,600 cusecs respectively.

Similarly from the Kabul River, 7,700 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 7,300 cusecs from the Chenab River at Marala.
