ISAF Containers’ seizure case: Customs court sends accused on judicial remand

KARACHI: Customs Court sent Mohammad Asad an accused in ‘ISAF Containers’ seizure case’ on judicial remand by not granting the physical remand.

Sources said that the head of investigation team wanted to bring the much publicized ISAF container case to its logical end by extending the investigation in the case.

The Customs I&I Karachi has given special attention to the said case following the interest, shown by two other countries Afghanistan and Germany.

It may be mentioned here that the containers came from Mazar-e-Sharif to Port Qasim Karachi from where these containers were re-destined to Germany.

Sources further claimed that some new clues have also been found during the investigation that could not be shared with anyone this time. However, they said that some important disclosures are likely to be expected in this regard.
