ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived in Baku, Azerbaijan to participate in the 48th annual meeting of Asian Development Bank (ADB) Board of Governors. He would also have other important meetings and an engagement during his stay at Baku from 2 to 5 May, 2015, says a statement received here Saturday.  The ADB Board of Governors meeting would open on May 4 preceded by Governors Roundtable on `Fluctuating Commodity Prices and Their Impact on Asia’. Governors Plenary on “Opportunities and Challenges for Livable Asian Cities” would be held on May, 5 followed by second business meeting.  The finance minister would meet president ADB, Takehiko Nakao the same day.The governors Seminar on `Rethinking Growth Potential and Growth Models (ERCD)’ would be the key feature of events earlier on May, 03 along with CNBC debate on “Asia’s Economic Outlook”. The Finance Minister during the course of his stay would also have meetings with European Investment Bank (EIB) delegation headed by Roman Escolano (Vice President); Afghanistan Finance Minister, Eklil Ahmad Hakimi, Annette Dixon, Vice President, World Bank and Kiyoshi KODERA, Vice President, JICA.  He would also attend the 9th Informal Meeting of SAARC Finance Ministers. The Minister soon after arrival at Baku attended a briefing session at the Pakistan Embassy on the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan and discussed schedule of his engagements, the statement added.
