Islamabad AFU generates more CD during 14 days than yesteryear’s

ISLAMABAD: The Air Freight Unit (AFU) Islamabad earned extra revenue of Rs9.31million of Customs Duty (CD) during initial 14 days of September Financial Year (FY) 2017-18 against the collection of the same period of corresponding September Financial Year (2016-17).

The AFU generates Rs56.36million of CD during initial 14 days of September FY17-18 while it did Rs47.03million during the same period of previous September FY16-17.
According to details given by sources of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad that the AFU demonstrated a first-rate performance of CD during 14 days of September FY17-18 against corresponding period of September FY16-17.
Sources told CT that, during initial 14 days of September FY 17-18, the AFU was assigned the revenue target of Rs104.55million of CD whereas it was allocated the revenue collection target of Rs224.04million for the entire month of September FY17-18.
During the first 14 days of September FY17-18, the AFU achieved an average of 25.15% against the monthly earmarked target of CD. The AFU is striving hard to meet its revenue target assigned for the 1st quarter (July to September) FY17-18 under the head of CD.
