Islamabad ASO impounds goods & vehicles valued Rs12.46m from 6th to 19th of May

ISLAMABAD: Anti-smuggling organization (ASO) Islamabad impounded smuggled goods, Non-Duty-Paid (NDP) vehicles and offending vehicles (Vehicles used for carrying smuggled goods) worth Rs12.46million during 6th to 19th of May of Financial Year (FY) 2016-17.

Performance has not been outstanding during above said period whereas ASO is trying hard to boost its efforts to create good results by seizing smuggled goods to make the smuggling activities difficult for smugglers and tax evaders.
During above said period, the ASO impounded two NDP vehicles including LES-8692 priced Rs1.86million and Pass car AAA-649 Sibi valued Rs0.901million whereas the ASO impounded three offending vehicles worth Rs2.8million. Offending vehicles comprise Mini Mazda FDY-6925, Bedford truck LOK-3411 and Toyota Fielder car RE-911-ICT.
The ASO seized 500 kg condoms, 26 alloy rims, 104 tyres, 330 kg aluminum foils, 160 club mobiles, 378 kg of ladies suiting, 98 kg Chimtta LTV old and new, 151 kg shock front LTV used and new, 29 kg steering LTV, Hub LTV old and used 50 kg and 53 kg Goda LTV.
During above said period, the ASO seized 220 kg of black tea, 400 LED ball lamps, 02 Panasonic video cameras, 02 Panasonic digital camera,02 network video recorders, 06 computer LCD Dells, 560 kg sofa cloth fabric, 295 kg high tesile steel bolts and nuts, 300 kg milk powder, 195 kg ladies cotton viscose cloth, 900 kg welding electrodes, 6,800 kg of cumin seeds and 253 kg of ladies suiting cloth.
