Islamabad ASO impounds seven vehicles & items valued Rs12.44m during six days

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) impounded five offending vehicles (vehicles used for carrying smuggled goods), two Non-Duty-Paid (NDP) vehicles and various kinds of smuggled goods worth Rs12.44million during 3rd of June to 9th of June’s Financial Year 2016-17.

According to Superintendent ASO Zargham Dil that during above said period, the performance of the ASO has been good as ASO impounded five offending vehicles valued Rs5.3million whereas it did two NDP vehicles worth Rs4.3million.
During said period, the ASO seized various kinds of smuggled goods valued Rs3.11million. The goods confiscated include food grain, tea, tires and tubes, alloy rims, imported fake cigarettes, electronic goods, pirated CDs/DVDs any many others.
The ASO Islamabad seized smuggled goods worth Rs3.437million. The impounded items include one Non-Duty-Paid (NDP) vehicle and three offending ones during 27th of May to 2rd of June’s Financial Year 2016-17.
