Islamabad Auction Cell beats corresponding year’s records with collection of Rs416.72m

ISLAMABAD: The Customs Auction Cell of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad beat all the corresponding financial year’s records with outstanding collection of Rs416.72million during Financial Year FY2016-17. The Auction Cell earned the said amount by holding auctions of impounded smuggled goods and vehicles and offending vehicles.

According to details told by Majid Hussain Gadd, Assistant Collector Auction Cell MCC Islamabad, that the Auction Cell showed exceptional performance under the guidance of Collector MCC Islamabad Dr. Arslan.

During June FY16-17, the Auction Cell received Rs92.93million by holding four auctions up to 23rd of June. The Auction Cell is providing strong support to the account of MCC Islamabad to meet the revised assigned revenue collection target for FY2016-17. During May Fy16-17, the Auction Cell generated Rs59.72million by holding different auction whereas the Auction Cell earned Rs44.1million during the month of April. During March FY16-17, it got Rs38.11million by holding auctions at the State Warehouse G-11 Islamabad.
The Gadd said the Cell earned Rs1.61million during February FY16-17 whereas it did Rs64.56million during January FY16-17. The Assistant Collector said that during the month of December FY1617, the Cell received Rs57.93million and it did Rs0.05million during November FY16-17.
During October FY16-17, the Cell generated Rs31.20million whereas it did Rs19.15million during the month of September Fy16-17. During August FY16-17, the Auction Cell earned Rs7.16million by holding different public auctions of impounded smuggled goods and vehicles.
