Islamabad Customs earns Rs 40m through auction of impounded vehicles

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad Preventive has held an auction of the impounded vehicles and collected Rs 40 million approximately.

While talking to Customs Today, Deputy Collector (headquarters) Yawar Nawaz told that the MCC Islamabad Preventive held an auction of the confiscated vehicles and earned Rs 40 million, adding that collected amount was reasonable according to the auctioned items. He informed that different types of vehicles ranging from 800 cc to 3000 cc were included in the auction.

He also said that department was optimistic in achieving the set target of revenue collection for current month, June, 2015.

He further added that preventive division of MCC Islamabad held auctions of seized items at regular intervals.
