Peshawar customs receives Rs1184.22m duties & taxes in February

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Peshawar collected Rs1184.22million all duties and taxes during February of Financial Year (FY) 2016-17.

According to Fazle Samad, Additional Deputy Collector MCC Peshawar, the Peshawar collectorate is optimistic about meeting the third quarter target under the head of all duty taxes and surcharges and it collected Rs513.17million Customs Duty while MCC Peshawar did Rs373.39million Sales tax.

During abovementioned period, the collectorate generated Rs282.1million Additional Income Tax whereas it collected Rs15.55million Federal Excise Duty. The MCC Peshawar received Rs9195.73million all duty and taxes during 2ndquarter (October to December) of Financial Year (FY) 2016-17. The MCC Peshawar showed excellent performance during said period and collected Rs2928.53million Customs Duty.

During 2nd quarter, the MCC Peshawar got Rs3.06million Withholding Surcharge and Rs.393.63 million miscellaneous duty taxes during the above said period.

During 2nd quarter, the collectorate earned Rs2109.91million Sales Tax and Rs2372.57million Additional Income Tax and Rs84.15million Federal Excise dDuty on imports.

The Additional Deputy Collector added that during the above said period, the MCC Peshawar collected Rs175.23million Redemption Duty on Imports and Rs38.43million Export Development Surcharge.
