Islamabad Customs seizes smuggled goods & vehicles worth Rs1536m during FY2021

ISLAMABAD:  Collectorate of Customs Preventive Deputy Collector Jalal Zadhi has said that the Collectorate seized smuggled goods and vehicles worth Rs1536 million during the financial year 2020-21.

Talking with Customs Today he said that the Collectorate have showed satisfactory performance during the above said period, he added that the Collectorate also had registered 15 FIRs against the petrol pump under its jurisdiction those had no form “K” (certificate issued from Explosive Department) while the pumps also had no NOCs issued from local government as well as they do not possess OMCs (oil manufacture certificates).

Telling the details of the seized goods during FY20-21 Deputy Collector Jalal Zaidi said that under the Direction of Junaid Jalil the Collector MCC Islamabad the Preventive department seized 232 numbers of NDP (non duty paid) vehicles in value of Rs1055 million while it seized 33 offending vehicles in worth of Rs207 million, he added that Preventive department also seized miscellaneous goods worth Rs1122 million.
