DUBAI: The Islamic State Supporters has created their own “caliphate book”, after banning of social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter Reuters reported.
But just a day after its launching the 5elabook.com site was offline, “because the servers are controlled by the governments, which can take all the IP addresses of those who visited the website,” said a user calling himself Taqni Minbar.
The amateur page sports a map of the world, with dots sporting the Islamic State insignia, and was put together using a program called “Socialkit”, which allows users to create their own social networking sites.
The site’s members said the main purpose of creating 5elafabook.com was to “clarify to the whole world that we do not only carry guns and live in caves as they imagine we advance with our world and we want advancement to become Islamic.”
