IT companies strongly reject 8pc tax

ISLAMABAD: The companies dealing in Information Technology have showed reservations on the imposition of 8 percent tax on IT sector and asked government to withdraw the tax immediately.

According to details, Pakistan Software House Association for IT and ITES has sent a letter to  Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in which it showed reservations on the imposition of 8 percent tax on service provider companies and institutions in the Finance Bill 2015-16 .

In the letter, the association has demanded the finance minster address their concerns about the tax.

They said that IT companies have to bear effective rates after imposition of this tax, they appealed government to withdraw this tax immediately and resolve all other outstanding issues of IT companies as soon as possible.
