IT exports increase 4.3pc to $1b during first eleven months of FY2018-19

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan earned $1 billion by providing different information technology (IT) services to various countries during the first eleven months of the fiscal year 2018-19.

This shows a growth of 4.37pc when compared to $966.240 million earned through the provision of services during the corresponding period of FY18, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported.

During the period under review, the computer services grew by 12.21pc, from $654.170 million last year to $734.020 million in FY19.

Among the computer services, the export of software consultancy services and repair and maintenance of computer-related services increased by 26.87pc and 231.93pc respectively. Export of other computer services increased by 34.77pc.
