ROME: cashmere-wool Italy is the biggest export market of Mongolian cashmere followed by the U.K. and China. During the first nine months of 2016, at least 74% of the total volume of Mongolian cashmere was exported to Italy, according to News.mn.
Mongolia produced around 389.4 tons of cashmere to date. Further, Mongolia has increased its cashmere export to Japan by 3.8%. Japan took 1.1% of the total volume of Mongolian cashmere in the first three quarters of 2016. Mongolia exports washed cashmere to Italy, the U.K. and China, while the fully processed product – to Japan only.
