Italy, Oman trade bodies sign MoU to strengthen bilateral trade

MUSCAT: Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the General Confederation of Italian Industry (GCII).

The MoU was signed on the sidelines of Oman-Italy Business Forum 2017, which was held at Grand Millennium Hotel-Muscat.

The memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation in the areas of bilateral trade between the Sultanate and Italy, benefit by the two parties in the development of trade and investment projects and partnerships, exchange of expertise, modern techniques and technology between the two sides.

Ayman bin Abdullah Al Hasani, OCCI Deputy Chairman for Economic Affairs and Branches and the Deputy Chairman of the General Confederation of Italian Industry signed the memorandum.

It is noteworthy that the General Confederation of Italian Industry has more than 150 thousand industrial companies from various sectors, mostly from small and medium-sized companies.
