KINGSTON: The Jamaica Customs Agency (JCA) is advising the public that the Motor Vehicle Auction which was originally slated to be conducted at its Queen’s 230 Warehouse, on Thursday November 19, 2015, will instead be relocated to its head office, Myers’ Wharf, Newport East, Kingston 15.
Additionally, the viewing of the Private Treaty Auction will be held from November 17-20, 2015, also at the JCA’s head office (Multi-Purpose Room). The closing date for all bids is November 20, 2015.
The Queen’s 230 Warehouse was closed on November 09, 2015, following the suspected release of hazardous material (HAZMAT) at the facility.
Since then, assessments have been done by the relevant agencies involved in investigating the matter. Samples have been collected at the facility, for testing overseas.
The JCA urges the public, its clients and all its stakeholders to continue to exercise patience, as a result of the closure of the facility.
The Agency will provide information on its re-opening as soon as clearance is received from the relevant bodies.
