KINGSTON: The police say they are working to bring charges against five men in relation to the seizure of cocaine valuing $12.5 million at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston.
The contraband was seized yesterday after the five Jamaicans arrived at the airport from Curacao.
The police say during security screening procedures, the men’s belongings were searched and backpacks with false compartments containing the cocaine was found.
All five were later arrested.
The cocaine weighed about 22 pounds.
