KINGSTON: The Jamaica National Building Society is using its ‘Outlook for the Future Series’ this year to focus on developing and sustaining businesses in Jamaica.
The fora are being held in Toronto this evening and in New York tomorrow.
Two leading Jamaican private sector leaders — William Mahfood, the chairman of Wisynco Group Limited; and Glen Christian, chairman and chief executive officer of Cari-Med — will share their business experiences in growing their distribution entities during the challenging period of the 1980s.
“Jamaicans overseas could benefit from the experience of these business leaders, particularly as the country’s economic framework is strengthened and opportunities emerge for investment,” said Earl Jarrett, JNBS General Manager.
The Outlook Forum is being held under the theme: Developing Successful Jamaican Businesses in a Challenging Economy.
Past speakers include former Finance Minister, Dr. Peter Phillips, former Prime Minister Bruce Golding, and former Finance Minister, Audley Shaw, and Dr Omar Davies, Minister of Transport, Works and Housing.
