TOKYO: The National Tax Agency (NTA) said it will sell in an online auction 22 motorbikes that were seized in lieu of unpaid taxes.
They include rare models. This is the first time for the agency to sell such a large number of motorbikes at auction at one time, an agency official said.
A Kawasaki Z1100GP is estimated to fetch ¥1.8 million, the highest among the 22 motorbikes, as almost all parts used for the model were custom-made.
A Ducati PS1000LE, a limited model with only 2,000 units sold worldwide, is estimated to sell for ¥900,000.
The motorbikes will be posted on a Yahoo Japan Corp. auction site for three days from 1 p.m. on May 19.Speech
