TOKYO: Japan has opened a credit line of 30 billion yen ($269 million) for Ukraine for insurance of exports/imports, deputy head of the presidential administration of Ukraine Kostiantyn Yeliseyev has said.
“Japan continued its policy of financial and economic assistance to Ukraine. In this regard Prime Minister [of Japan Shinzo Abe] announced the issue by a Japanese company for exports and imports insurance of a credit line for Ukraine in the amount of 30 billion yen – this is about $269 million,” Yeliseyev said at a press conference in Kyiv. He reported this aid would be needed to stabilize the economy in Ukraine.
