Japanese firms also welcome investment making in development of Shahid Beheshti Dock in Chabahar, the ambassador stated.

Iran has already signed a memorandum of understanding with India for development of Chabahar Port that aims to improve trade connectivity between Southeast Asia and Central Asia.

The U.S. has warned India and other countries not to rush into doing business with Iran until the country’s nuclear talks are finished by a June 30 deadline.

Iran could rapidly develop as a destination for global investors if Western sanctions are removed.

On April 13, National Iranian Petrochemical Company Managing Director Abbas She’ri Moqaddam said some $30 billion of investment opportunities have been identified in Iran’s petrochemical sector, which will be certainly welcomed by European and Asian investors if the sanctions against the country are lifted.
