TOKYO: Japan’s exports of cars, trucks and buses increased 3.3% on year in June for the first time in two months, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association said Thursday.
Exports totaled 403,730 vehicles in June, up from 390,915 vehicles in the same month a year earlier, the association said.
Production of cars, trucks and buses in Japan declined 5.3% on year in June for the 12th consecutive month, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association said Thursday.
Vehicle output fell to 811,864 vehicles in June from 857,415 vehicles in the same month a year earlier, the association said. Domestic vehicle demand totaled 442,631, down 2.2%.
