Jhang ASO seizes 1,200kg cloth and 20 electric motors

JHANG: Jhang City Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) seized illegally imported foreign-origin chiffon grey cloth weighting 1,200kg and 20 electric motors (old and use).

Taking action on a tip-off, Faisalabad Deputy Collector Irfan Ahmed Shouqat directed the Jhang ASO to conduct a raid. The raiding team seized the above-mentioned items from Toba Tek Singh Road Bypass. The market value of chiffon grey cloth is Rs 871,834, while the market value of seized motors is Rs 290,760.

The officials also arrested an accused namely Baber Muneer, a resident of Shadab Colony.

The raiding partly included Superintendent Ch Sardar Muhammad, Inspectors Asghar Mehdi Naqvi, Shaukat Khan, Mujuhid Abbas, Sepoys Muhammad Ali, Zulifqar Ali, Ziaullah Cheema and Muhammad Ajmal, and driver Ghulam Abbas. Further investigation is in progress.
