Jhang ASO seizes non duty paid tyres worth Rs3,50,000

FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) Jhang has seized foreigin origin tyres worth Rs 3,50,000 involving duty and taxes amounting to Rs193239 during an action.

Sources told Customs Today that Collector Zulfiqar Ali received credible information about some smuggling activities. He immediately constituted teams to foil these attempts,  The ASO staff intercepted a vehicle bearing registration no. FDS- 6195 Minthar Express near Rajna Chowk district Toba Tek Singh loaded with foreign origin tyres 70 numbers in different brands including (Br. Yokohama, Dunlop). The vehicle was coming from Sadiqabad and was heading towards Faisalabad.
