JOHNSON: The Johnson City Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 100th anniversary. The Spirit of Soul dance band kicked off the party at the Johnson City Country Club. Over four hundred men and women gathered for the event.The chamber, which also serves Jones borough and Washington County, held a toast before blowing out candles for 100 years of growth in community and business
.Board President, Jeff Jones, says their goal is to help our communities grow to work with small businesses, the men and women of this area and making sure that we grow and prosper, providing a community that supports these businesses but also providing a higher quality of life for residents that live in the area.
Several former board presidents were on hand as well as Jeff Jones, the current board president, who is the third person in his family to serve in that capacity.
