Amman: Exports from the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) were JD 310 million during January 2015, compared to JD 319 million for the same period last year, being a decline of 3 percent, the Chamber figures revealed.
Most of the Chamber’s exports went to the Iraqi market, valued at JD64 million, compared to JD74 million in the same period in 2014.
Additionally, India ranked second with JD52 million, followed by Saudi Arabia with JD31 million, the United States at JD25 million and the United Arab Emirates at 12 million.
Exports from Jordan included mining, cosmetics, chemical and manufacturing products, engineering, electrical and IT industries, in addition to medical and pharmaceutical supplies, foodstuffs, agricultural produce and cartons.
