Jordan approves 25MW solar panel project, seeks further investment from US

AMMAN: Operations director Bernard Santos stated that the 25-megawatt solar panel project by AES was approved by the government earlier, aiming at reducing diesel consumption and cost.

Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour and AES’ operations director Bernard Santos discussed on Tuesday the company’s plans and future projects to promote its investments in the Kingdom. Ensour stressed his government’s support for investing in power and renewable energy sectors, which contribute towards attaining energy security and using state-of-the-art technology, expressing government’s willingness to pave the way for investments.
