AMMAN : Trade deficit in the first 10 months of the year went up by 11 per cent compared with the same period of last year, according to Department of Statistics figures. The difference between the value of exports and imports in the same period stood at JD7.55 billion, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported, citing figures of the department.
The value of exports reached JD4.351 billion dropping by 2.7 per cent while the value of imports stood at JD11.9 billion, rising by 5.6 per cent compared with last year. The value of national exports rose slightly by 0.4 per cent compared with last year due to the rise in exports of clothes, raw potash and fertilisers.
