Judge Faiz Rasool directs investigating officer to submit challan in diesel smuggling case

KARACHI: Custom Court Judge Faiz Rasool Rashdi sent two accused namely Khudadad and Amanullah on judicial remand in a case pertaining to smuggle 45,600 liters diesel oil.

The court also directed the investigating officer to submit challan on next date of hearing. On Tuesday, the investigating officer Akbar Ahmed produced both the accused before the court and submitted that investigation against both the accused has been completed and they were no more required for the investigation.

According to the prosecution, accused Khudadad and Amanullah were arrested on 19th May 2016 near customs Moachko Check Post on the charges of smuggling 45,600 liters diesel oil valuing of Rs3,283,000. The act of the accused is the violation of section 2 ( s ), 156 ( 2 ) of 157 ( 2), 178 of Custom Act, 1969 and is punishable under section 89 of section 156 ( 1 ) ibid.
