July-May: MCC Multan lags behind revenue target

MULTAN: Collector Model Customs Collectorate of Multan, Sarfraz Ahmad Waraich has revealed that the collectorate has recovered Rs 32,929 million against the ambitious target of Rs 43,274 million till May’s end. MCC Multan was Rs 10,345 million behind the target of eleven months of the current fiscal year.

The above mentioned figure denotes the recovery of sales tax, withholding tax, federal excise duty and customs duty, he added. The collectorate controls the domain comprising four civil divisions including Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan and Sahiwal.

About customs duty collection, the collector said that a sum of Rs 9,539 million was recovered against an overall target of Rs 12,334 million. He added that MCC Multan would continue to strive to meet the overall target by the end of fiscal year 2013-14.
