The Collectorate officers said when Abbasi took charge, the Collectorate faced significant challenges.

“With morale at its lowest point in history. Tasked with revitalizing the unit, Abbasi worked to restore its position as a key player in anti-smuggling operations” Through coordinated efforts with his team and the backing of the Chief Collector, the Collectorate set new benchmarks in both the volume and quality of seizures, as well as revenue generated through improved administrative measures,” they added.

Abbasi emphasized that while records and achievements were notable, the true success was the restoration of the Collectorate’s standing and confidence.

He expressed pride in the unit’s resilience and acknowledged the devotion of the officers who contributed to its revival. As he handed over the reins to his successor, Abbasi expressed optimism that the new leader would continue this upward trajectory, completing the Collectorate’s transformation.
