Karachi Enforcement recovers smuggled skimmed milk powder worth Rs53m from SITE Area

KARACHI: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement recovered 73.75 tons of smuggled goods from a godown located on Fakhruddin Valika Road SITE Area, Karachi. The market value of seized goods in international market is approximately Rs53 million.

Acting on credible information received through Collector Basit Abbasi to Additional Collector Muhammad Basit, Deputy Collector Raza Naqvi constituted team which raided a godown on Fakhruddin Valika Road, SITE Area, Karachi.

The operation resulted in the recovery of approximately 43.75 tons of smuggled skimmed milk powder. The goods, valued at around Rs 52 million, were transferred to the Collectorate’s warehouse in seven rented Mazda vehicles for detailed examination and further legal proceedings.

An FIR has been registered and further investigation is still underway.
