KARACHI: Under the leadership of Collector Moin Ud Din Ahmad Wani, Collectorate of Customs Enforcement impounded 8,000 kilograms of smuggled betel nuts during a raid a raid at Babar Market, Landhi. The market value of seized betel nuts is Rs8 million.
Sources said that Collector Moin Ud Din Ahmad Wani received credible report that huge quantity of betel nuts were dumped in a store located in Babar Market, Landhi Karachi.
The operation unfolded on the night of January 9th and continued into the early hours of January 10th.
The swift action by the Customs Enforcement team underscores their commitment to curbing illegal activities and maintaining law and order in the city.
Customs Enforcement authorities have yet to release further details on the investigation or the individuals involved in the smuggling operation.
The seized goods are currently in the custody of Customs Enforcement for further examination and legal proceedings.
