KARACHI: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement has seized smuggled goods worth Rs130 million during different Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs)
Sources told that the seized goods include 39,205 kg of betel nuts, 655.50 kg of gutkha, 32,500 kg of plastic dana, food items, and other miscellaneous goods. Additionally, enforcement officers intercepted one bus, two trailers, and two 40 feet containers, with the conveyances alone worth Rs30 million.
Customs Enforcement foiled bid to smuggle 250 bags of sugar, totaling 12,500 kg, destined for Baluchistan. The sugar is valued at Rs2 million.
It is necessary to mention here that Customs Enforcement’s relentless approach not only disrupts the operations of smugglers but also plays vital role in safeguarding government revenues. By preventing the illegal importation of goods, the agency ensures that proper duties and taxes are collected, contributing to the national kitty.
