KARACHI: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement has seized huge quantity of foreign-origin Crockery, plastic dana and plastic shoppers from two godowns located in SITE area, Manghopir Road.
Sources told Customs Today that Collector Basit Maqsood Abbasi received credible information on the night of 4.5. 2024 that huge quantity of smuggled foreign origin plastic dana, shoppers and crockery is dumped in godowns in SITE area.
The team raided the godowns and recovered a substantial quantity of smuggled Irani Crockery, Plastic Dana and Plastic Shoppers, valued at Rs. 41.35 million in the market. The goods were seized under the Customs Act, 1969, and further legal action is being taken against the culprits.
This operation was part of the ongoing anti-smuggling drive across the city, initiated by the Customs Enforcement, Karachi, to curb the menace of smuggling and protect the national economy.
