The administration stated that Karachi Port’s CPPI score increased from 30 to 45.7, indicating substantial improvement in handling capacity, operational performance, and overall productivity.

KPT officials said the institution’s next target is to further improve its position in the global rankings and secure a place among the world’s top 50 container ports by 2027.

The improvement is being viewed as a positive development for Pakistan’s maritime sector, with expectations that enhanced port efficiency will contribute to smoother trade operations and strengthen the country’s position in international shipping networks.
