KARACHI: President, Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), Tariq Malik and other office-bearers of the association have called for more policy reforms to get maximum benefits from GSP- Plus status awarded to Pakistan by European Union; providing Pakistani products access to the EU markets.
In a joint statement here on Monday, they said that the extended status of GSP-plus would provide another opportunity to Pakistan to boost its exports. ‘A comprehensive strategy is needed to attain benefits of GSP-plus status,’ said Tariq Malik.
The KATI leaders praised the efforts of Federal Minister for Commerce Pervaiz Malik and Federal Secretary for Commerce Muhammad Younus Dhaga for their serious and practical efforts including lobbying at different levels for the extension of GSP-plus status to Pakistan.
