Kazakhstan envoy visits RCCI and urges for enhancing B2B linkages

RAWALPINDI:  Ambassador of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Kistafin has said that Pakistan and Kazakhstan have deep and friendly relations and there are vast opportunities to promote bilateral trade in many fields. The President of Kazakhstan will visit Pakistan next year. He will be accompanied by a delegation of Kazakhstani industrialists. The purpose of the visit will be to strengthen bilateral trade relations. He expressed these views during a visit to the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI). The envoy was accompanied by First Secretary Dalyara Kemperbayev. RCCI President Nadeem A Rauf, Group Leader Sohail Altaf, Senior Vice President Asim Malik, Vice President Talat Awan, Former President Dr Shamail Dawood, members of the executive Committee and members of the Chamber were also present on the occasion.

The Ambassador said that Pakistan is an important route for accessing its products to Europe and other countries. He said that an MoU would be signed soon to strengthen relations between the chambers of commerce.

Earlier, President Nadeem Rauf received the Ambassador and gave him a briefing on the ongoing activities of the Chamber and future programs. He said that pharmaceuticals, textiles, machinery, leather, petroleum products and tourism are important sectors in which mutual cooperation could be promoted. Kazakhstan ranks 25th in ease of doing business rankings, we can benefit from Kazakhstan’s experience.

Group Leader Sohail Altaf said that bilateral trade relations between the two countries could be further strengthened through direct flights. Pakistan is a country with a population of 220 million people.  There was a huge potential for enhancing bilateral trade and investment between the two countries.

The ambassador also recorded his impressions in the guest book.
