MOSCOW: Kazakhstan’s Tau-Ken Samruk expects the first gold from Russia and Iran to be delivered for refining this December, Chief Executive of the company Mazhit Turmagambetov said on Thursday.
“Russians also come to us for refining because we offer an appropriate price and are ready to work on a tolling basis. We expect the first delivery from Russia and from Iran in December,” Turmagambetov said. Negotiations are also underway with Kirgizia, he added.
The only Kazakhstan’s refinery in Astana affiliated with Tau-Ken Samruk produced about 7 tons of the refined gold in 2014 against the design capacity of 25 tons, the Chief Executive said.
