Khattak approves six projects for Haripur, Abbottabad

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, during a meeting held at CM Secretariat, has given approval to six development projects for Haripur and Abbottabad districts.

According to a handout, the projects include construction of Havelian-Dhamtor bypass road which would cost Rs1 billion and establishment of a modern engineering college in Haripur.

Adviser to CM for Communication and Works Akbar Ayub Khan, Special Assistant to CM for Information and Higher Education Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani and other officials attended the meeting.

On the occasion, the chief minister discussed plans of new uplift schemes for Haripur and Abbottabad districts. They include establishment of a modern engineering college, an Information Technology training centre, construction of a sports ground at Haripur, construction of Havelian-Dhamtor bypass road, soil erosion protection scheme for Havelian and construction of a link road as part of the under-construction Jhangra Dam project in Abbottabad. The meeting was informed that the 18 kilometre-long bypass road, to be constructed from Ayub Bridge to Dhamtor, will facilitate Nathiagali and Murree bound commuters.
