Khurram Dastigar to visit Belarus in August

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Commerce Engineer Khurram Dastigar Khan will pay an official visit to Belarus in the first week of August. Chairman Board of Investment and other prominent businessmen of the country will also be a part of the commerce minister’s delegation.

They will attend meeting of Pakistan-Belarus Joint Economic Commission. The delegation will finalize the details which will be discussed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Belarus which is also expected in August.

The visit will open more avenues to further strengthening business relations between the two countries. Talking to media persons Engineer Khurram Dastigar Khan said that Pakistan and Belarus are looking to find more avenues to enhance bilateral trade. He said that Belarus imports garments, sports goods, shoes, home textiles, and rice .

Prior to this due to tariff enhancement by Belarus Pakistani goods are not being exported to Belarus. He said Pakistan is a big exporter of rice to Belarus.
